Terms.

“Soothsay”, “we”, “us” refers to the operator of soothsay.io. By using the service, you accept these terms.

Soothsay audits written content for SEO, LLMEO (citation-readiness for AI engines), readability, and originality. Free users get limited audits with no rewrites or citation probes. Pro users get unlimited audits, 200 LLM rewrites per month, and 25 citation probes per month, plus library and export.

Pricing, quotas, and feature gates may change. Material changes get notice and don’t apply retroactively to your current billing period.

You agree not to use Soothsay to:

• Audit content you don’t have the legal right to audit.
• Submit URLs that target private networks (we already block this) or attempt to bypass our SSRF guard.
• Re-distribute the audit findings or rewrites as a commercial product without permission.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our scoring rubric or prompt set.
• Submit illegal content, malware payloads, or content designed to harass or harm a specific person.

Violations may result in account suspension without refund. Serious violations will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

You keep all rights to the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a narrow, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide the audit + rewrite + probe features described above. We don’t use your content to train models.

We may store anonymized aggregate metrics (e.g. “average Flesch-Kincaid grade of submitted drafts”) for product improvement.

We aim for high uptime but don’t guarantee a specific SLA on the consumer plans. If you need an SLA, contact us for enterprise terms.

Soothsay is provided “as is.” Our scoring is heuristic and informed by public research; we don’t guarantee that following our suggestions will cause any specific outcome (e.g. higher Google ranking, citation in ChatGPT). The citation probe feature reports what AI engines responded to our synthesized queries at the time the probe ran; results vary by model version and timing.

We don’t guarantee the LLM-generated rewrites are free of errors. Always review before publishing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Soothsay is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profits damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction — update before launch], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can’t be resolved by good-faith discussion go to the courts of that jurisdiction.

We’ll update these terms occasionally. Material changes get an email notice to Pro users. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
